November 2024: The credit union participated in the East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Thank you to all who purchased gifts to help community children in need.
October 2024: Our East Stroudsburg Salvation Army Thanksgiving Food Drive was a big success! Thank you to everyone who donated.
October 2024: Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Trunk-or-Treat. We are already making plans for next year.
April 2024: During Financial Capability Month, the credit union partnered with the Eastern Monroe Public Library to offer financial education classes. Credit union staff, like Amanda Gary (pictured below), presented a variety of topics, including: Budgeting Basics, Managing Credit, Auto Buying 101, and Homebuyer Education. August 2022: Monroe County Meals on Wheels supports the elderly and homebound by providing nutritional support, a daily human connection, and other supportive services to the home bound so they may remain safe and independent in their homes. To support their mission, NE PA Credit Union members generously donated household items for the Client Needs Pantry. In addition, NE PA Credit Union gave MCMOW a $500 donation.
May 2022: VALOR Clinic Foundation supports veterans in our community by providing transitional housing, PTSD-War to Peace Transition Retreats, and more. The credit union is proud to support VALOR’s mission with a $500 donation.
March 2022: The Pocono Wildlife and Rehabilitation Center has been a part of the local community for 39 years. The spread of the Avian Flu to wild birds and commercial and domestic poultry in the northeast is creating a challenge for the center. To help with the urgent need for supplies, the credit union donated $500 to the Wildlife Rehab Center to support their efforts to manage the situation.
February 2022: NE PA staff donated 5 bags full of immediate need items for the Cold Weather Shelter located at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church. The credit union also donated $500 to help support the shelter.
December 2021: Camp Papillon Animal Shelter—thank you to all who donated to help provide life-saving care and support to animals in need. Donations collected (including the credit union’s $500 match) totaled $1,396.10.
