About Our Foundation

The NE PA Community FCU Foundation was organized in the spirit of the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”

Our Foundation’s mission is "to promote and support the educational goals of students from the NE PA Community Federal Credit Union service area through financial assistance for their post-secondary education.” The Foundation will make available educational awards to in-school students, as well as graduated students repaying educational loans.

The most recent awards were given away on July 22, 2023. The NE PA Community FCU Foundation presented five $1,500 Educational Awards to students from the local community. Pictured recipients (from left to right) are: Destiny Monroe, Emily Barlotta, Michael Patterson, Sakura Helm, and Julia Healey-Hardy

If you would like to help support our Foundation’s mission, please consider a donation. Donations to the Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) organization, may be identified as memorials, commemorations for birthdays, anniversaries and/or other special occasions. 

Each year the Foundation will give away at least three (3) Educational Awards for at least $1,500.00 each. Both members and non-members of the Credit Union are eligible to apply for, and to receive educational awards through this philanthropy.  Deadline for applications is June 1, 2024.
