NE PA Credit Union Members Approve UECU Merger

We are excited to share that on December 19, 2024, at NE PA Credit Union’s Special Meeting, it was announced that members voted in favor of merging with Pennsylvania-based Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU). After months of hard work, we are thrilled to begin the next phase of this journey together – combining our two organizations for the benefit of members, employees, and communities. We are eager to begin pooling our resources and combining our membership and talented employees with UECU to be able to provide even more value now and into the future.

What happens next? As we work to fully integrate with UECU, we will continue to keep you informed and updated about what is happening throughout the process.

  • For now, how you conduct business with NE PA Credit Union will remain the same. Our Stroudsburg, Mt. Pocono, and Brodheadsville locations will remain open during and after the merger.
  • After the legal merger date of January 1, 2025, UECU and NE PA Credit Union will become one legal entity, and NE PA Credit Union will become a division of UECU. After January 1, 2025, we will continue working to fully integrate our core banking systems, with a goal of transitioning all NE PA accounts to UECU’s platform by the end of the third quarter in 2025.
  • Your NE PA Credit Union account will transition to UECU by the end of the third quarter in 2025. As that time nears, you will receive a Member Information Guide with important details about your account transition to UECU.  We will also share updates about your new UECU member benefits, including a Member Rewards program, Visa® card benefits, and additional loan options.
